Outdoor education develops leadership capabilities, increases confidence, and allows for cohesion between classmates. The Algonquin Wilderness Education Centre is located in the remote northwest corner of Algonquin Park. This location provides a rare opportunity to enjoy the benefits of outdoor education in a beautiful environment without distractions. The program can include: leadership development, team-building, class orientations and year-end fun, sustainability education, survival training, group problem solving, and self-management skills. Using our comfortable facilities as home-base, students will engage in a curriculum that is tailored to suit the needs of your group.

The private log cabin on Surprise Lake is perfect for smaller groups of 12-18 students who are looking for a unique green learning and living experience. The more basic overnight bunkhouse on Kawawaymog Lake fits 26 and is ideal for groups on a budget, or those looking to book-end their canoe trip.
